Website, mobile app, or both — where do you start?

This post clears up the website-vs-mobile-app-vs-both decision for a new digital project with a few simple questions.

Most projects start with "we need an app." Sometimes that's right; sometimes a website is all you need. To decide, ask:

  • How often will people use it? Opened several times a day → a mobile app makes sense. Visited a few times a year → a website is enough.
  • How will a first-timer find it? If it's found via Google, you need the web; search engines can't see inside an app.
  • Do you need phone features? Notifications, camera, location → that points to a mobile app.
  • Is there a managing side? Most businesses have one. That's usually a web panel, even when the user side is mobile.

Often the answer is "both"

Most real projects have three parts: a public website, a mobile app for the user, and a web panel for whoever runs it. What we call "end-to-end automation" is exactly those three working together.

If you're not sure, we'll work it out together in one conversation. Starting on the wrong side costs more to fix later.
