Driving school automation: how to hand the paperwork to the system

This post explains how the most time-consuming driving school tasks — official registration, attendance, and payments — can be handed to an automation system.

Running a driving school means redoing the same work every term: enrollment, paperwork, registration, attendance, exam tracking, payments. Each is small; together they're a full shift.

The logic of automation: hand off anything done by hand and repeated; leave people only the parts that need a decision.

  • Enrollment & registration: the official registration triggers the moment a student is entered. No entering data twice.
  • Attendance: the instructor opens the lesson on a phone and takes attendance there. No paper, no transcribing later.
  • Schedule: the student sees lessons and exam dates in their own app. The "when's my exam?" calls stop.
  • Payments: installment dates live in the system; a reminder goes out as they approach. Late payments drop.
  • Reports: the manager sees attendance, exam results, and payments from one panel.

Where to start?

Pick the single most time-consuming task — usually registration or attendance — and automate that first. The rest of the system builds on top.

We described a sample of this flow on our Vites project page. (Vites is currently a sample.)
